Dear friends,

Thank you so much for all of your prayers, notes, texts, emails, and encouragement. The surgery went well – no complications! God is good!

I’m so grateful for all of you, for a gifted surgeon, for the many nurses and others who assisted, for anesthesia, and for a fantastic post-op nurse. It turns out my body didn’t respond too well to all the drugs that were pumped into me, and this nurse stayed at work at least an hour and a half past ‘quitting time’ in order to make sure I was ok. Our other post-op experiences in the US usually had folks trying to rush us out the door – this nurse put my needs first in a way that made all the difference.

Please continue to pray for my recovery – for my healing, my attitude, and my actions. I’m not always so good at following doctors’ orders. I don’t like to be dependent on others (yes, one of my idolatries is being able to do things for myself). I need to be patient and allow other to do things, even the simplest things, for me. God is giving me the opportunity to grow in Christ-likeness through this process. Please pray that I won’t miss this chance to take on more of my Savior’s character. In his goodness, he knows that I need this process. Pray that the process will have his desired result in me.

Website:

We are venturing out – slightly! We have never been the most technologically savvy people, but the time has come for us to have a website. It’s simple, and for now it’s pretty limited to our prayer archives, but we’ll be adding more. Check out steveamyrobertson.org when you have a chance.

Thank you so much for partnering with us! You are such a blessing to us from the Lord.
Que Dios los bendiga abundantemente.

With love,

Steve

Some Additional Ways to Help

Many of you have asked if there are other ways you can help us. There are a few items that we haven’t mentioned before that would be so helpful to us.

Old (but intact) luggage: We are going to be maxing out (and then some, probably) our baggage allowances when we fly down. If anyone has an unneeded case – carryon or larger, it would be a great benefit to us. This request is probably for those of you in the middle-Tennessee area.

Cell Phones: If anyone has old (still functioning) cell phones that are just taking up space in a drawer somewhere – or if you’re looking to upgrade this Christmas and won’t have a use for the old ones, they would be of great help to us. We’re looking for something that is new-ish and ‘unlockable’ (most are) that would accept a Chilean phone chip.
